Play the Game != Test the Game
People think that being a game tester is a blessing and the best job in the world — just play a game and get your payment, especially when you work with such world-wide companies as Electronic Arts, Square Enix and more. However, the reality is much harsher than that.
The talk will be about the real activities of a Game QA! Why do we need to test Game Design Documentation and Game Design tools? How to test "open-world" game levels (will talk about level design and level art)? What approaches will help reduce testing time significantly (code cheats, creating a gym, etc.)?
As a result, I will immerse you in the world of game development projects, briefly tell you about its main participants, and using examples of different games I will explain how Game Testing is so different from testing other products and why it is so necessary.
