Automating Browser Testing without a Backend with Playwright

In 2021 with the beginning of of Ozon Bank development a testing process based on full automation was started. At the same time, it was decided to test the front-end in isolation with all the handles mocked. And Playwright was chosen as a front-end browser testing tool.

This talk will tell you why such a choice was made, whether it lived up to expectations, what problems were encountered in the process and what solutions were built.

The talk is aimed at teams that are also looking for solutions to typical problems that arise with classic end2end automation, or want to learn more about the practice of using the Playwright framework.
