Impact of Project Architecture on Quality Processes

Shift Left Testing practices have become tightly integrated into many teams process. But when they talk about them, they shift testing closer to customers and requirements. At the same time, it is important to remember that the quality is laid at the architectural level. This means that QA needs to pay maximum attention to the architecture.

At architectural level, you can make team’s life easier by adding all the necessary handles to check and improve quality. Or you can turn the team's life into a perpetual struggle with bugs appearing in unexpected places.

Our team did not immediately come to the idea that QA should be added at the architecture design stage. Using examples of my projects, I will tell you about the coolest architectural solutions that improved quality, and the toughest screw-ups from which we suffered and are still suffering.
