How We Automated Analytics Testing in a Mobile Application

A thorough analysis of user actions helps improve the efficiency of any application. Manual testing of the implemented analytics collection system in an application is a labor-intensive and often not the most exciting process.

We attempted to automate such testing using a Flutter application as an example. In the process, we developed a universal algorithm that not only verifies the sending of a local event but also provides broad coverage of the entire system. We obtained interesting results, analyzed them, assessed the strengths and weaknesses, and calculated the potential time savings. We drew conclusions on how to effectively automate analytics testing.
