Minority Report: Let's Approach Load Tests as Functional Tests

What is the easiest way to implement a regular run of performance testing while still using the stack that is familiar to functional testers? Why would we need Java here and was adding Cucumber worth it? How to understand that the performance of the backend has not degraded, but at the same time do without profiling for the time being?

We'll look at load tests from a different angle, and wrap our favorite JMeter into a functional-like test.
